ABAP DEVELOPER
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years in multi-national environment, in IT with exposure to systems
implementation and maintenance.
Experience in the conception and the management of applications in HR area Working experience on different computing platforms (Windows NT, AS/400, etc.)
Knowledge of one of SAP HR functional module
Excellent knowledge of programming techniques and 2+ years experience in ABAP
HR programming language (knowledge of SAP NetWeaver components – Portal, MDM, PI, BI, etc. – is a plus)
Skills in new technologies (Web, Java, etc.)
Knowledge of business concepts and functionality in HR area a plus.
Detailed knowledge of application testing, test procedures and test scenarios (new support packages, releases, OSS support, etc.).
Detailed knowledge of internal support and message handling procedures
including message escalation. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager a plus.
Knowledge of the application vendor’s support and escalation procedures
including SAP OSS system and procedures
Familiar with business process change management including implementation, testing and verification of change requests
Good communication skills
Fluent English
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.To manage all aspects related to the development:
ABAP objects (Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, enhancements, user-exits, BADI, etc.):
writing functional and technical specs, coordinating development with
off-site team, programming and testing, developing documentations
Conversion of legacy data:
identifying which data should be migrated from the legacy system into SAP HR (HCM), mapping from legacy to SAP, determining how the legacy data should be cleansed before it is migrated to SAP, writing functional and technical specs for LSMW, developing extraction programs from legacy systems, developing SAP conversion programs
Interfaces:
defining the electronic transfer of information between separate application systems, putting in place the most efficient and reliable solutions available according to the company standards, specifying required interfaces between legacy systems and SAP, writing functional and technical specs, developing SAP and non SAP interface programs, testing
2.Support the data conversion & migration
To possess a detailed understanding of legacy systems data structures.
To identify data
To identify tasks supported locally by outside applications (Excel, Access,
Middleware, etc).
To identify local statutory and business requirements with local team
To participate in the planning of the data migration and conversion.
To process conversion programs
3.Perform System Development Testing
Identify and develop all relevant testing scenarios in order to ensure all
possible business scenarios are covered.
Conduct and lead development testing sessions
4.Project Development
Ensure effective and timely communication on the project progress
Timely identify and communicate any implementation issues and ensure proper follow-up
Where Project Management is specifically concerned, to inform of any potential delays, which may compromise the implementation calendar.
Coordinate HR ABAP development activities with off-site team
Coordinate non-SAP development activities with HQ and Local IT
