Senior SAP BI / BO System Analyst

ABB, a leader in power and automation technologies that operates in around 100 countries and employs about 124,000 people, is looking for experienced SAP BI / BO System Analyst for it's branch in Russia. The person is required on a permanent basis and is expected to participate in SAP BI implementation project in ABB Russia (Q4/2011 - Q2/2012) and further development and support of BI solution.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Actively participate in projects as main BI&BO expert in line with ABB Project methodology and Change management procedures.
- Partner with IT and Business team members to define and support functional and/or architectural reporting requirements.
- Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop BI and BO objects (installation of standard objects, enhance existing objects and create custom objects) such as info objects, business content, info sources, info cubes, ODS objects, data targets, transfer rules, update rules, and process chains.
- Perform analysis and quality check of solutions and documentation provided by 3rd party consultants in BI&BO area.
- Perform BI&BO solution handover from 3rd party consultants.
- Work together with Solution architect and other team members to achieve efficiency, integrity and consistency of overall ERP solution.
- Perform key users and end user trainings
- Meet project deadlines.
- Prepare sufficient project documentation according to ABB standards.
- Provide assistance to other team members.
- Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, functional and technical software issues.
- Provide BI&BO expertise and consultancy to SAP users and colleagues.
- Perform key users and end user trainings.
- Perform BI&BO support according to Incident Management and Change management procedures.
- Meet SLA.

Requirements:

- Higher education (5-6 year master’s degree preferably in IT or Finance and Economics)
- SAP BI&BO experience as system analyst or consultant at least 4 years
- Experience with at least 2 SAP BW 7.0 and BO full implementation cycle
- Strong technical SAP BI skills in the areas of data modeling, ETL, query and report design.
- Strong experience with Transfer Rule routines, Formula Builder, Update rule routines.
- ABAP skills on the level which is enough for programming of complex extractors.
- Knowledge of Business Objects Enterprise Toolset especially Web Intelligence.
- Good knowledge/experience of BI support activities involving data loads, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of data extraction and data content in SAP modules FI/CO, SD, MM, LE, HCM.
- BI certification is desirable.


Additional requirements: the successful candidate must be eligible to work in Russia and be fluent in the English and Russian languages.
